A new CO₂ plant will be built and integrated with the existing biomass power plant located in the Environmental Industrial Park at Garray (Soria), to capture and liquate gases emitted by the energy plant.

To transform the CO₂ content in the biomass gases into a new product with an added value that can be integrated in new value chains in different industrial processes it is needed to separate the CO₂ from the rest of gases and compounds present in the biomass combustion gases.

This separation will be carried out in the CO₂ Plant with a chemical process that will produce Industrial quality CO₂ (50 t/day) to be used in a Greenhouse, or in food industries such as carbonated drinks.

Adaptation of the Biomass Power Plant to produce added value "green CO₂"

The biomass power plant located in Garray is in operation since the year 2013. The capacity of the plant is 17,02 MW, burning biomass obtained from sustainable forest management in the region, contributing to prevent forest fires and transforming forest waste in energy.
