CARBUROS METÁLICOS, partner of the LIFE CO2IntBio project, receives this recognition for the carbon capture and purification plant located in the Parque Empresarial de Medio Ambiente (PEMA), of Garray (Soria), in the framework of an innovative circular economy project approach.

The Innovadores Awards of Diario de Castilla y León-El Mundo, recognizes the effort in innovation in the Autonomous Community of Castilla y León. Since 2010, "Innovadores", the first regional supplement in Research, Development and Innovation, informs Castilla y Leon´s readers of the projects and initiatives developed in the nine provinces.

Within the category of the Best Innovative Project in the province of Soria, this year the award went to the company Carburos Metálicos, part of Air Products group and leader in industrial CO2 production in Spain, among other gases.

Carburos Metálicos, together with Bioeléctrica de Garray (ENSO group) and Fundación Patrimonio Natural de Castilla y León, is developing in teh PEMA of Garray (Soria), an innovative project of circular economy based in carbon capture from the combustion gases of process with amine and is treated to obtain a quality product to be used in the agro-alimentary industry, among other applications. Antonio Álvarez-Monteserín, Commercial Manager West Area at Carburos Metálicos, received this award on behalf of the company.
