The President of the Regional Ministry of Castilla y León, Alfonso Fernández Mañueco, with the company of the Councilor of Environment in Castilla y León, Juan Carlos Suárez-Quiñones, have visited the Bioeléctrica de Garray biomass plant in the PEMA of Garray, Soria.

The LIFE CO2IntBio project is being developed at this site with the collaboration between the companies ENSO and Carburos Metálicos. A pilot plant for capture and purification of CO2 from the biomass plant gases is being built, contributing to the mitigation of CO2 emissions.

Both, the President and the Councilor, have highlighted the impulse to circular economy thanks to initiatives such as the LIFE CO2IntBio project, in which the Regional Ministry of Castilla y León also participates through Natural Heritage Foundation of Castilla y León. They also have shown a special interest in knowing the details of this pioneering industrial integration project in the Region of Castilla y León.
